Ingredients
SLIDER DOUGH
- 1 1/2 tbsp. yeast
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. warm water (110 degrees)
- 2 1/2 c. unbleached flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons Italian herb blend
FILLING
- 16 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
- roasted red pepper
- 5 leaves fresh basil
- balsamic vinegar
- 5 slices pepperoni
- 5 tablespoons pizza sauce
Directions
DOUGH
- Whisk yeast, sugar, and warm water together in a bowl. Cover and let it stand about 10 minutes. Stir in flours, salt and oil. I do this with my dough hook in the Kitchenaid but you can knead it by hand. Separate the dough into about 10 small balls and place them in a greased muffin tin. Cover with a cloth and allow them to rise, about 30 minutes or until the tins are full.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake about 15-20 minutes, until the tops turn brown. Remove from oven and brush with melted butter, parmesan cheese and seasoning. Allow to cool completely.
SLIDERS
- Layer your toppings per your preference. I did one set with fresh basil, peppers, Stella Mozzarella and balsamic vinegar. The other set with pepperoni, Stella Mozzarella and sauce.
